Concept: A place for long-distance family members to connect
The Main Family Tree Site www.themainfamilytree.com

I was inspired to create this web site after a long overdue family reunion, at which I talked to people I had either never met or can't remember. I decided that there must be a better way to keep up on family affairs.

A lot of the site's weight is in the back-end, managing a MySQL database for the message board and providing a secure admin interface for family members to login, create messages and upload photos. I'm sorry to say the site hasn't seen a lot of action from the family, but the experience building the database was worth the effort.

Concept: A private restaurant web site.
The Golden Olive Site www.thegoldenolive.com

A friend of mine opened a Greek restaurant with her family in Wallingford. I offered to create a web site for them, to help publicize their business.

It's definitely the most simple site I've ever made. The only notable feature is the (limited) use of the Google Maps API to help people find the restaurant.

Concept: Band Web Site Redesign Purpose: Class Project - TC437: Web Design and Publishing
Evergreen Effect Site www.evergreeneffect.com

This web site was designed and developed as a class project, but is also an active web site for a friend's band. The sad thing is that it was once a robust site with lots of dynamic features and a robust set of online administration tools for managing photos and the MySQL database of news and calendar events. The original web site expired and it was all lost. This is what remains and I've yet to rebuild. For more information on the development of this site (up to May 17, '06), read my Planning Report.

Concept: Band Web Site
Old Evergreen Effect Site old evergreeneffect.com

This is the original web site I created for a friend's band. It only continues to exist here. Some pieces of this web site are missing or broken—it's really ugly—but I keep it here anyway, for nostalgia. The audio and video files were personally captured and converted using a combination of Adobe Premiere, Screenblast Sound Forge, and Macromedia Flash.

Web Site Project Honda's TC department

This assignment was to design an internal web site for a chosen company (Honda) that would represent the company's Technical Communication Department. This site is where other employees can find more information on the Technical Communication department's employees, projects, and other related information through additional resources provided on the site.
