Purpose: Class Project - ENVIR202: Environmental Case Studies: Population and Health
Concept: Case Study Report on Genetically Engineered Crops

This report is the culmination of a course-long group project in which I was designated writer, and as such, all of the writing is my own. For the project, my group was assigned to take the perspective of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) on the current state of genetically engineered crops and related biotechnologies. The report discusses their benefits, risks, and current regulation procedures, among other related topics.

Purpose: Volunteer writing for PosTComm (UWTC annual newsletter)

For winter and spring quarters of 2006 I worked as a volunteer for my department's annual newsletter, PosTComm—the 2004-2005 Excellence Award winner for Technical Publications, presented by the Society for Technical Communication Puget Sound Chapter. My articles in the 2006 issue include "Suzanne Weghorst: Bringing a new dimension to TC," "An experience of the future in the HITLab" and "Carolyn Wei travels to India for internship and research."
